 MINI MALDIVES. Maldives? Naaah Philippines!!! Doesn’t it look like I am in Maldives? ---only a smaller version. This is the last Island we went to during our Island Hopping in Isla Gigantes. It has the most beautiful view among the islands we’ve been to prior to this. We climbed up the hilly boulders and viola--- a picturesque beauty of the entire island! Isla Gigantes: Tanke (Salt Lagoon)

 HIDDEN PARADISE. Our third stop is a salt lagoon which they call “Tanke”. It is concealed behind those gigantic rocks, hiding its mystic beauty from the unadorned sight. When I saw it, I thought ---how can this possibly be? It seemed to be a pool at the middle of the ocean. Aahh it’s spectacular! I’m in awe. The water is soo clear that you could see the bottom. Too clear that I thought it’s pretty shallow but heck!!!! It’s deeper than I thought. We surely did enjoyed swimming and marinating ourselves there, harhar. I think among the islands we’ve been to, this is where we linger most.

Special Day, Special Mom

CUM LAUDE. Isla Gigantes series isn’t over yet but this post just can’t wait. Today is a very special day for our moms so I want this post to be special too. I want to dedicate this post to my ever lovely mama. Last month, I went home to my province---Iloilo--- for summer vacation and to attend my mama’s graduation. My mother and father were not able to finish their studies before due to lack of finances and early marriage and since all of my sisters have already graduated, they took courage to enroll in college and finish a degree. My mom graduated as a Cum Laude of Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and we are all SUPER proud of her and my Papa. At the age of 59, my mama has finally reached her dream. She is such an inspiration for other people and especially for us. She thought us 1 thing, and that is, “never stop dreaming”.
